IMRP 2024 - 21st International Meeting on Radiation Processing

I managed external communications for the 21st International Meeting on Radiation Processing (IMRP 2024), organised by the International Irradiation Association (iia) and held in Costa Rica in November 2024. IMRP is an international conference for the radiation processing community which takes place every two to three years.

The branding for IMRP 2024 was created by Excentric, a trusted marketing partner.

Pre-Event Promotion

I worked closely with the IMRP event organisers to support the planning and promotion of the conference. This included promoting key milestones such as the call for abstracts, registration opening, sponsors, exhibition opportunities, important dates, and event information.

I managed iia website updates, LinkedIn communications through the iia page and supported newsletter content, adapting promotional graphics and communications using design templates provided by Excentric.

As part of the pre-event communications, I coordinated and promoted two webinars highlighting key conference details and encouraging participation - one in English and one in Chinese. I also produced a Communications Toolkit that attendees could use to show their participation in the conference.

During the Conference

Throughout the conference, I managed daily communications highlighting the day's activities, sessions, and key moments. I created and published regular LinkedIn updates through the iia page, incorporating photographs taken during the event to provide real-time coverage.

Post-Event Communications

Following the conference, I gathered key information and highlights from the event and communicated these through LinkedIn and newsletters. I also created an archive page on the iia website containing key event information and details, and promoted the official post-event report published by the iia and a highlights video filmed at the event.
